Meet Pierre Claude

This month, Pierre-Claude Artus, Gordon McArthur, Randy (from “Pam & Randy”), Armand Cazenave, Hektor, etc… notorious schizophrenics dilettante ethnologists, musicians and chronic hedonists are trying to be at one with Knowing Nantes’ questions.

What is your greatest achievement?
To be members of the month for Knowing Nantes.
Second greatest might be to be able to keep ourselves together (so far)

What makes you get out of bed in the morning?
At home: better half’s soothing cooing suggesting that it’d be time to drive our offspring off to school.
Generally: an urge to address the toughest world’s issues: stopping those damned kangaroos’ stomping on maimed neurones, getting festival organizers to phone back and improving knowledge of the world’s ways.

What do you think is the most important lesson that life has taught you to date?
That women, although so utterly beautiful and quite ethereal at times, are human beings as well.

What or who is the most important thing in your life?
The ability to play music that doesn’t make absolutely everybody run for dear life.

Does anyone have the Womad festival programmer’s mobile phone number?

What is your favourite french expression? Why?
Kessapeut’fout’

What do you like most about living in France?
France attracts lots of foreign women who are not used to drinking too much red wine.

What has been your most memorable day?
The day we met THE foreign woman………..

What is your favourite place in Nantes?
My bed

What made you join the Knowing Nantes network?
Sue Alouche’s entrancing personality - (how nice, thanks PC!)

GO AND SEE P-C, Gordon, Griniu hokum serenaders
My web-site (in the making)'s address is www.artus-pierre-claude.eu.

Gordon McArthur will be playing in St Herblain on the 23rd of June at about 11pm for "Goûts et couleurs".

I teach an Irish music workshop at l'école de musique de la Balinière de Rezé and the fête de l'école where we'll be playing at around 5pm on the 24th of June.

I can give lessons on the tenor banjo and Scottish bagpipes + éveil musical for young children (and thick adults) and a number of other things if anyone's interested...

"Griniu hokum serenaders" is my group of Irish music and silly songs.
