Jennifer de Bonnafos's KN Art Workshop 7 June 2007

We listened to a song by Patti Smith, originally sung by Neil Young. The song was called 'Helpless'. It summed up for us blue sky, windows behind the stars and moons.

We took an old, long rug of Jennifer's and mixed up various colours of blue, then painted randomly, squares in varying tones of blue - our inspiration came from the words in the song and a picture hanging in Jennifer's lovely workshop.

The result was simple, very colourful, very soothing and at the end we were very proud of our long, beautiful blue piece of art...it's amazing what you can do on the back of an old rug. I'll never throw anything away again!
